Concord Leeds Interfaith Fellowship and Leeds City Peacelink hosted

Candles were lit from the World Peace Flame on behalf of the Baha’i, Buddhist, Brahma Kumari, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Pagan and Sikh communities, and there was a reading from each of these faiths. The Councillor lit a candle on behalf of all the people of Leeds. An audience of about 100 people shared in prayers and words of commitment to peace and justice. The Baab-Ul-Ilm Centre represented the Leeds Muslim Community at the Annual Pease Service. Adnan Bhamani (age 8) & Zainab Patel (age 8) presented the congregation with a reading on peace, while Sammar Jivraj(age 9) lit a candle on behalf of the Leeds Muslim Community.
